Rivers of Revenue Workshops

Pre-workshop customer interviews conducted by Kristin Zhivago make every workshop especially valuable to attendees

Prior to one of the workshops, Kristin interviewed the customers of the workshop attendees (vendors of advertising specialty products). These customers said that ALL of the vendors were selling to them the wrong way. The customers said: "Vendors call and tell me they have 100,000 products to chose from. Well, so do I—I can see that many products on the Internet at any time. What I really want is a vendor who helps me quickly narrow down my choices—to the right one."

Insights like these give workshop attendees a completely new perspective on what will work with their customers, what will keep revenues flowing, and how to successfully distinguish themselves from their toughest competitors.

Workshops can include:

  • Formal presentation, complete with handouts

  • Interactive sessions, in small groups or with the entire group, for Q&A, group problem-solving, and a session where we build a "buying process map" for the typical sale. This is a very powerful and satisfying portion of each workshop.

  • Pre-workshop research: Kristin personally interviews (by phone) workshop attendees and their customers, and presents her findings to the group

  • Signed copies of the book, Rivers of Revenue, sent to all attendees (or distributed at the workshop), purchased in quantity at a discount or offered for individual purchase to workshop attendees

  • Website reviews of attendee sites (Kristin is an expert on marketing technologies and user interfaces; her experience includes the design of a comprehensive Web-based portal and content management infrastructure for IBM's 300 software products, for use by their resellers). She has served as a judge for website contests and for associations. She has been helping companies create and improve their websites since 1994.

  • Reviews of other marketing and selling materials, submitted by the attendees prior to the workshop.
